1 Month Old - "Here's what we know"

Wil had his 1 month old check up today, complete with Hepatitis B Vaccination, which was worse for me than it was him... I think. In the future, I need to prepare myself for such horrors (I know there are many more yucky shots to come)! It was awful! My little man just laid there, helpless, while one nurse held him down and the other poked his meat-less thigh! His face turned bright red and his mouth opened wide - he was SO upset though, he couldn't even make a sound. Of course, I scooped him right up and held him tight, apologizing over and over again (as if it was MY fault)! I'll leave you with this more pleasant thought - one of my new favorite pictures...

Here are the MIGHTY STATS! Wil's growing like a weed!
Height - 19 3/4 inches (Growth since birth - 1 3/4 inches)
Weight - 7 lbs. 14 ounces (Weight Gain since birth - a whopping 2 lbs. 3 ounces)

Also, Wil's eating nearly 4 ounces every 4 hours; it sure is getting hard to keep up - I hope I don't run out! Another tidbit... (now nobody jinx us) Wil's slept just over 5 hours in a row for the last two nights! Are things starting to look up?!?! I'll keep you posted.

Don't you just HATE those pointy kisses? I used to get all worked up for days and days before the appointments: how could i do this to my sweet helpless bubba? Ugh.

  3. Oh, that soundless cry is a heart breaker, isn't it? I remember when Maddie did that after her first shot. I felt so horrible! I'm not looking forward to doing that all over again in a few weeks. :(
