How does this happen...

in only 16 short weeks? My little tree frog has turned into a little piggy! He still fits just right in Daddy's arms, though; well, I take that back. He is pretty wiggly and a bit more demanding when it comes to his favorite sleeping positions.

"Summer breeze, makes me feel fine..."

Wil's new joy in life is laying out on the deck on top of a fleece blanket. He loves watching the clouds & listening to the breeze (when it's not 90 degrees and humid, of course). He's also really been into his toys lately, which is great because we've already got a bunch sitting in a box in his room. He's particularly fond of any that light up &/or play music! It's all rather mind-blowing to a 3 month old.

He's also a fan of this rattle. C'mon, shake it Mr. Serious...

Happy 4th of July

Wil celebrated his first 4th of July with Mommy and Daddy today. We had lots of fun at the Token Creek Parade and then went to a neighborhood cook-out. Of course, Wil was a trooper. He loved watching all of the action at the parade and was so good at the neighbor's. What a good boy!

Here we are at the parade. I worried about all of the noise, but Wil loved every minute of it. He only cried when I obsessively covered his ears when the fire trucks went by. Apparently me nuzzling his beanie head into my shoulders is not at all how he wanted to spend his time.

Stealing a kiss, of course. Is it possible to kiss your baby too much? I don't think so! Sometimes I just can't get enough of him; yes, I could almost eat him (and no, that's not weird).   :)

Play Date or Bust!

Wil and Bronson had their first official play date this week. It was much more fun for Liz and I... clearly.

Wil: "So... what exactly do you want me to do here Mommy?"

Bronson: "Hey, who turned on the lights? I was sleepin' here!"

Wil: "Who is that guy? What's going on? Hello? Anyone?"

Bronson: "What's wrong with him? Hey... sweet shirt, dude!"

Wil: "Forget this. Hey man, I'll teach you something I learned months ago... if you cry really loud, but make a cute face, SOMEONE will pick you up."

Bronson: "Sounds like a plan, Buddy. Mind if I join you?"

Father's Day Fun!

Well, we celebrated a fabulous Father's Day today complete with breakfast for Daddy, a trip to The Zoo, an ice cream treat, and a trip to the dog park for Gravel! We were all completely exhausted after our long day. Wil was a trooper though and didn't miss a thing, which explains why he's a cranky boy tonight! All in all, it was a wonderful day and boy oh boy, do we love our Daddy! Here are some pictures from along the way:

Daddy and Wil at the Dog Park! Even Adam likes the backpack - well, sort of. He feels pretty silly in it, but I think they look so cute in their hats! My kid's bald... I have to protect his head from the sun! :)

Gravel loves the "Water Dog Park"! It has a lake with a big dock in it for the doggies to jump off of... which is why my dog is soaked! He loves the water!!!

My Best Friend is Here!!!

Wil's new BFF is finally here! Liz had her baby Friday, June 18 at 9:29pm. He was a whopping 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 inches long! He is absolutely precious and we're so excited he's here! We're already planning a playdate for next week... too bad I live an hour away. :(

Unfortunately, Baby Perkins has no name... yet! Liz and Jason just can't decide. Like his Grandma Cheryl, I'm really pushing for Way, yes - I like Way Perkins. You know... "Where there's a Wil, there's a Way". Get it!?!? HaHaHa! More pictures of the two besties coming soon!!!!

Hanging out at home...

So I may be a crazy person, but I just can't help taking random photos of my child. They're so cute and I have to share them with you! It's not much, but still...

Here's Wil chillin' outside. It was rather sunny and windy, so I turned his Bouncie Seat into a covered patio!

Here's another favorite. Wil and Adam watching The History Channel (a crowd favorite). As you can see, I HATE The History Channel... what to do when bored - take pictures of Wil, duh!!!

Here's what we do every morning - sit on the couch and chat! Wil's learning how to blow bubbles too!

The newest craze - the Bumbo seat! It gives Wil a whole new perspective of the world. He's amazed! It's also a great spot to watch Sponge Bob!

Here's to 25 years...

My Mom and Dad celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary this weekend! My brother and I decided, what a better way to celebrate than with family and friends, "picnic-in-the-park style"!?!?!

Of course, Grandma and Poppa loved sharing this special day with their first grandbaby.
