New Adventures!

Today marked Wil's first day in the Toddler 1 room at school! I was so excited for him, but a little worried. All of the kids can walk... Wil's close, but still not there. All of the kids sleep on cots, NOT in cribs (yikes). All of the kids sit at the table during lunch... like, family style. I pictured my baby sitting at one of the tables in my old Purple Room at Orchard Ridge Preschool and got sick to my stomach. He's still a baby. He shouldn't be doing these big boy things.

Adam picked up today because I had parent-teacher conferences. I was so excited to get home to find out how his day was. When I got home, I found a note from his new teacher (Miss Kylie - who I LOVE). The note read:

Dear Stefani & Adam,
Wilby did absolutely wonderful with us today! He joined us in the Toddler 1 Room shortly after breakfast. He took his first ever trip to the playground at 10:00 and LOVED it! We ate lunch at 11:30 and he did so well at the table. He didn't get up or fall off! We then went down for a nap. He stayed on the cot, just looking around, but fell asleep after I rubbed his belly for a while. He woke up around 1:00, but fell right back asleep after he had a couple ounces of a bottle. After he woke up, we had snack! We went outside again after that! :)
He is so wonderful and we are so happy to have him joining our class! We look forward to watching him grow and develop even more!
Love,
Miss Kylie & Miss Mindie

My baby is a toddler... I guess. I can't believe how big he's getting. This is a good thing, right?!?! :) I keep telling myself, "one day I'm going to wake up and he's going to be 5". That makes me sooo sad!

One is Fun!

Wil had his one-year-old check up last Friday. Luckily for us, we had NO shots! Wil's sick... again. Ear infections are the pits! That's all we have to say about that.

Here are the BIG stats:
Weight: 21 lbs. 13 oz.
Height: 29 1/2 inches
His height/weight are in the 35th percentile! That's HUGE for Wil! He sarted in the 3rd. Woohooiee! We were happy to see that he is growing like a weed! Must be all those cheeseburgers.

Just another tidbit... his head is in the 85th percentile. HaHaHa!

Birthday Boy!

Today is March 20, Wil's FIRST Birthday! It's also the first day of Spring!!! However, it rained cats and dogs all day long. :(  We wanted to do something special with Wil today, so we decided to visit the Children's Museum. We had a lot of fun! I was impressed with how many things Wil could explore. Pretty amazing place! Check out some of our pictures!! Sorry. I was excited, so there are a lot! :)
Wil explored some musical instruments. I think he's going to be a percussionist, like his Momma!

He also had fun playing with blocks.
Daddy tried to teach him how to sort the blocks. It was tricky!
More building! Well, actually we just placed the blocks from one bin to another, but it was still fun!

Painting the Museum windows with Mom!

Driving a car. Super cool!!

Wil's most favorite part of the day was BY FAR the water table. We played there twice! Wil loved wearing the little smock and splashing in the water. He filled the cups. He poured the cups. He tried to drink from the cups. :) It was major drama trying to get him to leave this area, but he got soaked both times!

We had a wonderful day. We hope you had fun Wilby! We love you!!

Birthday Bliss

Dear Wil,
Today was your first birthday party, well technically you're not 1 yet - you will be at 3:07 in the morning! But, we decided to celebrate a little early. :) We had such a fabulous day. Your grandmas and gandpas came, along with your Great Grandma! Your Uncle Tony, Auntie Kayla & Jon came too! You got to invite one friend. You chose Bronson of course! Our day was full of family & fun, yummy cake & ice cream, and wonderful, thoughtful gifts. You are one lucky fella! Here are just a few pictures to remember your day!

Love,
Mama

We decorated the whole house, just for you!

Your Rainbow Birthday Cake! Mama was VERY proud of herself. You loved it too!

Showing Bronson your new 4-wheeler. You're so excited!

Beef: It's what's for dinner.

Tonight Adam grilled steaks. They were so yummy. Is it summer yet? Anyways. Wil had some mashed potatoes, veggies & fruit. When he finished all of this he yelled and moaned and pointed. "Would you like your sippy?" I asked. (SCREAM/POINT) "More fruit?" (SCREAM/POINT) "What does he want? He couldn't possibly still be hungry, could he?" Ugh. When will my child find his words?

"I think I know what he wants," my husband says. "Steak". I took a deep breathe while Adam cut Wil a long, delicous piece. Please don't choke. Please don't enjoy it too much. Please don't just throw it on the ground. I may have to dive after it if you do... it's just too good.

Wil took the piece of meat. He looked at it. He squeezed it. He licked it. Then... he did this:
He looks concerned, but he actually loved it! OK. So he didn't actually eat steak. He just sort of chewed on it. But, it kept him busy while I stuffed my face AND we've found something new to get us through the next few teeth that are coming in. Nice.

The Pantry.

Because it's fun. Duh!
And yes. You can find all sorts of things in there. Not. Just. Food.
